Folks I have to tell you, it is NOT always easy to come up with a subject for the next blog post. Now, for the record, I am not sure how many people, if any, would notice if I DIDN’T post for a while. but you never know.
Luckily though, our blogging hero has cohorts that keep an eye out for things and send them as suggestions! Today, my gorgeous wife Michelle provided me with a map of the areas NOT to park your bike in Seattle!
As we all know, the original Mountainstroh steed was stolen 15 months ago.
One would think I would have gotten over it by now, but nope. I still watch each and every bike that goes by when I am down town, looking for that dirtbag who stole it. So far no luck, so I guess I can still hope he got hit by a dump truck…
Becuase of this I really found the article Michelle sent me enlightening! Here are the spots in Seattle a bike is most likely to be stolen:
Now some of these make sense. Downtown can be a bit sketchy at times, and I pass bikes in different stages of dismantling (pieces gone) everyday. (See A Tale of Two Bike Racks ) Being a Diehard Coug, I always always thought those Husky fans were a bit shifty, which would explain why the U District is on the list.
Have a great day! Thanks Michelle!
