Michelle and I ask a question to ourselves all the time: How do we get so busy! This weekend is a classic example! And as I sit here Sunday night building a blog post, I am thinking that I am just damn tired and REALLY not excited that tomorrow is Monday… Continue reading “Really too tired for tomorrow to be Monday!”
So this week is Michelle’s birthday! We won’t say which one of course, but to me she still looks like she is a hot chick in her 30s!
Her birthday is Thursday, so I wanted to do something fun on one of the weekends around it.
Next weekend I am taking the Manchild back to college, so that meant this weekend was it. I came up with a plan… Continue reading “It seemed like a much easier plan in my head!”
Long, LONG ago when Michelle convinced me (and correctly so) that I wanted to be a blogger, the Mountainstroh blog was called 10,000 miles of Experiences, Adventures and Thoughts! Somewhere along the line I made the rule that I would change the name every 5000 miles. Now at the time, I thought it would be a LONG assed time between name changes!
Little did I know what would really happen… Continue reading “A new Milestone and a new name!”
So Tuesday last was our final day to wake up in Walla Walla. It’s a good thing it was, as the smoke got 3 – 4 times worse than it had been the whole time we were there. Overnight the smoke gods descended on the town! It was bad enough that I made us drive the half mile to breakfast instead of letting Michelle walk in that crap. Little did we know how bad it was… Continue reading “A challenging 3 days of riding!”
But for those of you who don’t know where WSU is, its in a tiny town in eastern Washington called Pullman, 8 miles from the Idaho border. This means, from the west side of the state where we live, it is a 5 hour (at least) one way drive with half of it being on a 2 lane highway. As much as I love visiting the town, it is a 2 day event to get there and enjoy it.
However, when planning this trip to Walla Walla, Michelle said, “You know, we are pretty close to Pullman….” Continue reading “A side trip to Pullman”
Folks, this has been one hell of a long year. Due to work and a fluke in our planning, Michelle and I have not had more than one day off since our trip to Cannon Beach in April. For the record, that is ENTIRELY too long!!
So, with our Labor Weekend trip to Walla Walla in the offing, she and I have been counting down the days! Finally, Thursday rolled around, and we loaded up the rental vehicle for a trip east! Continue reading “WSU Gnome Rides Again!”
