Anyone who knows me in person, on Facebook or from this blog, knows how I feel about photos of me. I have firm rule, if it makes me giggle, I want to share it. I honestly love to make people laugh.
Looking at these still make me laugh! This week, I posted a couple to both Instagram and Facebook. I very much love the comments I received… Continue reading “A tale of two photos”
We are coming up on the one month anniversary of moving to the ocean! In some ways it seems like time has flown by, in others it seems like forever ago we left Mountlake Terrace. But, unlike coming to Lincoln City for a vacation, When you live here, there are chores to do.. Continue reading “A busy day!!”
Its funny. For a while there, I was going through a serious Blog drought. I kinda felt like I had told all my stories, not much was happening that I hadn’t already discussed cycling wise. At times I considered taking a hiatus.
Fast forward a few months. Being in a new town, and on the coast and discovering places I’ve never seen…. Even short rides warrant a post! I know as I am here longer, this will change. But right now its fun! And tonight was a blog worthy short ride…. Continue reading “Elk Butts!”
It was a fun weekend! Y’all know that yesterday I rode 70 miles in the soaking rain, just because I could! But, in the same post I mentioned the reason we were in Corvallis was for the Corvallis 5K.
It was a very fun group of people who made the trek to Oregon State University just to travel 3.1 miles by foot… Continue reading “The Corvallis 5K”
So this weekend, we had a change of scenery. For the last 2 years these three hotties met in Corvallis to do the Half Marathon.
Now it will come as no surprise that a half marathon is HARD! My job is to leap-frog the, with the bike with extra liquids, take extra layers if needed, and be the personal support crew. (Not a bad gig as all 🙂
After last year, the three decided “HEY, let’s do the 5 K instead! Then Mark and Tony can participate! And we did!! The 5 K post will most likely be tomorrow though, as there was a lot unpacked in a 1.5 days. And my brain is a bit fuzzy right now, So I will hold off to do justice to this.
What we will discuss today is the reason for the brain fuzz. I took the opportunity to ride the bike home from Corvallis! Continue reading “Even the cows thought I was nuts!”
Looking at the calendar, I am amazed to say we have been here over 2 weeks! That’s two-plus weeks of unpacking, working, and getting things done! Truly my two biggest accomplishments with the house are the fact that both cars can fit in the garage
And I was able, with some serious lifting help from Michelle, get this sucker hung on the wall!
We are getting to the point where most of the work is done! It feels like home.
It has not all been work though, the bike and I have had some travels… Continue reading “Side roads….”
Folks, this is shaping up to be an interesting weekend at the new homestead. Tomorrow, we have a pretty decent wind storm going to hit, Gusts up to 50, and this is causing a high surf warning!
For the natives and long-term coast kids, this is probably nuthin. “Might have to put on the heavier gortex” they might even mutter. But for me I am excited! I love ocean storms!
All day I have been looking outside as I have been working, watching for any tell tale signs. At the end of my shift, something struck me as odd… Continue reading “Decisions Decisions…”
