Biking Milestones

It takes a while to reach 10000 miles.  It takes 100’s of 10 mile rides, as well as a lot of longer ones.  The following is a list of what I consider my most memorable accomplishments along the way!

Chilly Hilly 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012!  33 miles around Bainbridge Island and the opening of the NW biking Season  Put on by the Cascade Bicycle Club

Flying Wheels Summer Century 2008, 2012  100 miles through the back roads of King and Snohomish counties. My first century ride ever!  Put on by the Cascade Bicycle Club

Flying Wheels Summer Century 2009, 25 mile beginner route with the youngest son, 11 years old at the time.  I had fun, he hasn’t wanted to go since.

Seattle to Portland (STP) 2 day rider 2008, 1 day rider 2012.  200 miles from Husky Stadium in Seattle to Portland OR.  My favorite long ride.  Put on by the Cascade Bicycle Club

Ride from Seattle to Vancouver BC and Party (RSVP) 188 Miles from Seattle to Vancouver BC.  Put on by the Cascade Bicycle Club

High Pass Challenge 114 miles from Packwood Wa to Windy Ridge Observatory, Mt St Helens, and back.  Mother bear of Hills! Put on by the Cascade Bicycle Club.

But don’t ever think all milestones have to be organized rides!  Some of my best had nothing to do with other people.
