After Work Low Tide Adventure

I find it quite funny when Michelle talks to her brother. Invariably he will get around to asking her, “Are you bored living at the ocean yet?”

I can’t decide if he somehowthinks we would miss the hustle or bustle of the big city life (for the record we hate both the bustle as well as the hustle) or if he thinks there just isn’t anything to do down here…

Elk Butts!

Its funny. For a while there, I was going through a serious Blog drought. I kinda felt like I had told all my stories, not much was happening that I hadn’t already discussed cycling wise. At times I considered taking a hiatus.

Fast forward a few months. Being in a new town, and on the coast and discovering places I’ve never seen…. Even short rides warrant a post! I know as I am here longer, this will change. But right now its fun! And tonight was a blog worthy short ride…. Continue reading “Elk Butts!”

Meandering…

When I first started riding, oh so many years ago, I didn’t have set places to ride. I had books that gave me routes (and I have done a lot of them) but that didn’t help around the house. Sometimes, you have a set amount of time and just don’t want to drive at all.

Back then, I would just go in a general direction and figure out where to go. If I ever got lost, I would just turn around and back track. (I didn’t have a smart phone or GPS back then)  Continue reading “Meandering…”
