Taking advice from a crazy guy on a bike

Many of my posts begin with the fact that I am learning new stuff about where we now live all the time. This one is no exception. This time it’s about the weather.

Michelle and I have a running joke that the weatherman and weather apps flat have no idea what our weather is going to do. We look outside on a day its supposed to rain, and its sun. A day that is supposed to be calmand the trees are bending over. We just look at each other and laugh and say, “They don’t know!”

Two very different walks!

I got lucky this weekend! As we know, Friday I spent driving to Portland and sitting in a an Apple store. In the end, the computer is alive and kicking! Plus we didn’t lose anything!

Then Friday, Rob and I successfully pedaled 106 miles from Portland to Pacific City

Initially, I was supposed to work Monday, jumping right back into the grind, but the corporate gods smiled on me, and I was able to sneak in one more day off…. Continue reading “Two very different walks!”

Side roads….

Looking at the calendar, I am amazed to say we have been here over 2 weeks! That’s two-plus weeks of unpacking, working, and getting things done! Truly my two biggest accomplishments with the house are the fact that both cars can fit in the garage

And I was able, with some serious lifting help from Michelle, get this sucker hung on the wall!

We are getting to the point where most of the work is done! It feels like home.
